If you worked with a whole life banking advisor before creating your Policy Stack account, they may have prepared your policies ahead of time. When that is the case, a card appears on your Home after you sign up:
"[Advisor name] set up N policies for you" — with an Added by your advisor label and each policy's carrier and approximate coverage amount.
Amounts on the card are rounded. Exact values are added only if you accept.
If you do not see the card, your advisor may not have set up policies for you, or your account may not match their records — you can always connect from Settings → Connections instead.
Your Choice
The card leads your Home, with your advisor's photo and welcome note. It stays until you choose; there is no dismiss.
Allow access and add the policies The card shows your advisor's access level and what it shares before you choose. If an accepted seat has not already recorded your access, "Allow View & edit · Add policy" grants read and write access and adds the policies in the same step; "Change" offers View only instead. View & edit lets your advisor see and update your policies, loans, ledger, goals, and Financial Blueprint; View only lets them see those but not change them. Documents stay private unless you share them. The access choice is separate from whether you qualify to see the offer. After you confirm, your advisor's policy details, statement history, and uploaded policy documents are copied into your account, with the access level you chose. The details remain editable afterward. An accepted seat's “Accept & share” already records read and write access, so prepared policies may be added automatically when you open Home.
