Available cash value is the amount Policy Stack presents as Net Cash Value for current use. It normally comes from Total Cash Value minus the current policy-loan balance; when the carrier reports a usable net cash or available-loan amount, that carrier-reported value is used instead.
For any carrier, a printed available-loan amount supplies Net Cash Value. A printed Net Cash Surrender Value supplies Net Cash Value when no available-loan amount is printed. When a carrier reports no usable figure, or the saved figure is $0, Net Cash Value is Total Cash Value minus the loan balance. The source label remains visible as provenance, and Net Cash Surrender Value is retained as its own carrier-reported field.
Available cash value represents your current borrowing capacity — how much additional capital you could deploy right now. Policy Stack displays this figure on your policy detail page as a calculated value.
"Available cash value" is the correct term in whole life banking. Avoid "available balance" — policy cash value is not a bank account balance.
