When you sign up as an advisor on Policy Stack, you set up your own policyholder side first, then pick your practice plan, then set up your practice. This article describes each step factually so you know what to expect.
Step 1: Your Own Side
On Which are you?, choose Advisor + Policyholder ("I have my own policies, and I help clients with theirs."). You then walk the same short setup every policyholder does:
- Your name
- What matters most — rank what your own household tracks, or choose Decide later
- A three-card lesson — you can skip it
If an advisor invited you as a client, their invitation appears after your name, and you can accept or choose Not now.
Step 2: Pick Your Plan
After the lesson, you go straight to the plan page.
- How many client seats? — pick Just you (Practice Solo), 10, 25, 50, or 100 client seats. Each option shows its monthly price. Every tier includes your own Builder Pro. I'm a policyholder switches to the policyholder plans.
- Your plan — a summary shows the selected tier, its price, and what the tier includes. Accept the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Advisor Program Agreement, then continue:
