Use Add Snapshot to record policy values from a carrier portal or statement.
Choose an Entry Path
- Manual: enter the snapshot date, Total CV or Net Cash Value basis, loan balance, and death benefit. You may attach the source file.
- Portal screenshots: Builder Pro can read one or more images or PDFs, merge the extracted fields, and show every value for review before saving.
- Annual statement: use Add Annual Statement when recording anniversary values, dividend, and statement history. Enter it manually or use Builder Pro extraction.
Only one snapshot can exist for a policy on a given date. If that date already exists, Replace existing snapshot updates the existing record rather than creating a duplicate.
Save is available only once every value is entered — Statement Date, Total CV, Loan Balance, and Death Benefit. Loan Balance is required, and $0 explicitly means "no loan." A blank field is not the same as a recorded zero, so a policy with no outstanding loan should have its Loan Balance entered as $0 rather than left empty.
Review a Large Loan Balance
When a whole life snapshot records a loan balance above its positive Total CV, or a large change from the last recorded balance, Policy Stack pauses before writing and shows the exact balance, cash-value basis, and loan-to-value percentage. It uses the snapshot's positive Total CV first and the prior recorded positive Total CV only when the snapshot has no positive value. Without either basis, LTV is unavailable rather than shown as 0%.
Above 120% LTV, select Record these figures to confirm the unchanged values or Edit figures to revise them. This is a factual data-quality check, not advice. It does not infer or record a loan draw.
