Managing Your Account Settings

Email Preferences

Policy Stack sends transactional emails (sign-in links, subscription confirmations) and optional notification emails. Use the toggles in this section to control which optional emails you receive:

• Snapshot reminders — periodic nudges to record a new policy snapshot
• Weekly Policy Stack email — Starter preview or Builder Pro insight summary, depending on your plan and data state
• AI Insight digests — summaries of new AI-generated observations (Builder Pro)
• Product updates — announcements about new features and changes

Transactional emails (sign-in, billing) cannot be turned off because they are essential to accessing your account.

Theme

Policy Stack uses a dark theme by default. The dark background reduces eye strain and provides strong contrast for financial data. If you prefer a light interface, toggle the theme selector in Settings.

Your theme preference is saved to your account and applies across all devices.

Security

Policy Stack uses passwordless authentication. You sign in via:

• Magic link — a one-time link sent to your email. Each link expires after 10 minutes and can only be used once.
• Google authentication — if you linked a Google account, you can sign in with a single click.

There is no password to manage, reset, or forget. Sessions remain active for the duration set by the platform. You can sign out of all active sessions from the Security section.

Household Settings

Your household name appears in your dashboard and represents your personal or family banking system. By default, it uses your display name, but you can customize it to something like "The Johnson Family Banking System" or any label that fits.

Household settings also display the number of policies currently tracked and any connected advisors.

Deleting Your Account

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. See Deleting Your Account for the full checklist, including billing cleanup, advisor/team handoff, and what collaborators are told. At a high level, when deletion completes:

• All policies, snapshots, loans, deployments, repayment schedules, goals, and ledger entries are permanently removed
• Your subscription and paid seats must be cleaned up first
• Your data cannot be recovered after deletion

To delete your account, scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm by typing your email address.
